Chairman's Message

Dear CC Foundation Supporters
On behalf of the dedicated volunteers of the Cornwall College Foundation Board, thank you for the incredible difference that you make for Cornwall College. Your engagement and support enable Cornwall to continue to push forward as a powerhouse of teaching and academic excellence in Western Jamaica. We are deeply grateful for your generosity and partnership.
What does it take to be a leader in high school education today? This question is at the heart of the Cornwall College Foundation, returning Cornwall College to Excellence. With the support of our alumni and friends, we can fulfill our historic mission to serve the public good and create a better future for our students. The formation of the C.C. Foundation can provide the school with a perpetual source of support for its mission of teaching and student development. The Foundation, when properly supported, will support the “future development and enhancement of all aspects of life at Cornwall College”.
Philanthropy will provide the opportunities that let students and faculty discover their full potential and make a difference. The capable delivery of content is not enough. We must distinguish Cornwall College through transformative experiences that go beyond the classroom; we must prepare our students for the broader society, getting them ready for academic greatness, sports, and an even deeper commitment to society.
If you have your own connection to Cornwall College then you will agree there is something different about our school – an intangible uniqueness, something distinctive that elevates Cornwall from excellent to extraordinary. For me, what began as an Alumni making a small donation to the school has now become a focus for my personal charitable giving.
Cornwall College has always been an important part of my family, and we have enjoyed being active supporters in the school’s growth over the years. Prior to serving as Chair, I served on the CC Trust Ltd. Board of Trustees for seven years, and as my service continues, I remain motivated by Cornwall’s determination to make a positive impact on the lives of students and staff as well as Jamaica and the world at large. I am incredibly honored to lead the C.C. Foundation’s Board, a distinguished group of volunteers who, like you, are integral to fulfilling Cornwall’s Mission.
The Government of Jamaica is simply unable to adequately fuel this remarkable and important work of restoring the luster to Cornwall College, but with the collaborative spirit that Cornwall’s Men of Might are known for, alumni and friends have stepped up to help. Donor funds will help to expand access to education for our exceptionally bright students, enhance faculty support and inspire excellence in all that we do.
I encourage you to visit our website to learn how you can pursue your passions by supporting Cornwall College through the Cornwall College Foundation.
Thank you,
